Palm Desert National Bank Case Study/FT7000
As growing consumer demand for more self-service financial transactions coincides with affordable technology, financial institutions are expected to begin making big investments in services that allow them to automate more functions within their branches. Palm Desert National Bank (PDNB), based in California, is one such FI.
In 2007, PDNB spearheaded an effort to complement its existing network of terminals with ATMs that offered advanced functions. PDNB, which supports more than 22,000 off premise ATMs with vault-cash services and also operates a smaller network of its own in southern California, wanted to build a platform that would allow it to quickly deploy new financial functions at its ATMs when market demand reaches the tipping point.
PDNB began working with partners to develop new transactions that it could deploy on its ATMs, but it needed to find a machine that its mixed network of ATMs from multiple vendors could be integrated with using emulated communications protocols. A successful test would mean that PDNB would not be locked in to a single ATM hardware, but could integrate various types of new transactions and technology across numerous ATMs simultaneously.++ read more |

Alabama Credit Union Case Study/RL5000xp
As the Alabama economy grew in the 1990s with
an influx of automobile manufacturers and suppliers,
Alabama Credit Union expanded its network of
off-premises ATMs to serve its growing membership
base. It was one strategy the credit union implemented
to focus on member convenience.
The credit union installed Triton ATMs at automobile
manufacturers’ and suppliers’ factories through its
work with Triton Systems value-added reseller Financial
Equipment & Data Corp., also known as FEDCorp.
The credit union also added ATMs in nearby convenience
stores and restaurants, as well as at the local university.
The widespread ATM network continues to give
Alabama Credit Union a competitive advantage that
draws in new members, says Steve Swofford, the credit
union’s president and chief executive. ++ read more |

A New Idea – Jim Goetz, Security First Bank
-Jim Goetz, Chairman and CEO, Security First Bank
If there’s one thing I’ve learned in almost 40 years of banking, it’s that you can’t afford to wait for the next big thing to find you. In community banking, customer loyalty is an advantage, but people still expect simple, reliable transactions. And if they don’t get it from us, they’ll eventually get it somewhere else. That’s what led us to Triton. ++ read more |

Pays For Itself – Jim Goetz, Security First Bank
“I refuse to pay for an ATM that doesn’t pay for itself.”
-Jim Goetz, Chairman and CEO, Security First Bank
As chairman of a successful North Dakota community bank, I don’t take service lightly. Whether it means tailor-made financial solutions, competitive prices or getting to know customers on a first-name basis, nothing builds loyalty like consistently great service. I’ve found the best way to deliver that service is to hire smart, reliable people and let them do their jobs.
The same goes for our ATMs. That’s why we’ve used Triton since the
mid-90s. ++ read more |

I’ve seen a lot of changes in the industry over the years, but few things have helped revolutionize the way community banks do business like the off-premise ATM. It’s much more than a profit center. It’s a way to stay connected with our loyal customers—a vital marketing tool. Triton ATMs give us a simple, affordable way to reach our customers with special offers and promotions. ++ read more |
